Rosa Patricia Castillo Acosta, MD was born in Colombia. Upon her completion of medical school from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, she did her rotating internship and radiology residency. September 2000, Dr. Castillo completed a fellowship in in Body Imaging in CT and MRI at the Fundacion Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia and in December 2005 she completed a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging Radiology at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Castillo was promptly hired by the University of Miami Department of Radiology in December 2005 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology. She earned her American Board of Radiology certificate in May 2010.
She has served as a key study person on several funded and non-funded cancer research studies. Dr. Castillo Acosta main interest is in the field of Gynecologic Tumors , Urology as well as Gastrointestinal Tumors.
